Our previous CPA wrecked our books. Ottit saved us, got us back on track, and prevented a $30,000 tax overpayment. Without them, we'd have no visibility or process. Highly recommend their team!

"Our prior firm was completely horrible. Ottit was recommended by our fractional CFO. Ottit came in and cleaned up. Implementing good sound accounting procedures and policies. They have been absolutely fabulous to work with. We are a TEAM!"

Bench, honestly

Is Bench good for ecommerce?

Bench does cash-basis bookkeeping for small businesses on its own software. Its pricing page does not mention payout reconciliation, inventory, COGS or marketplace sales tax, which are the parts of ecommerce bookkeeping that go wrong. For brands over about $500K in sales with inventory, that gap matters.

Can I move from Bench to my own QuickBooks?

Bench's core plans run on Bench's proprietary platform; its fractional tier ($55/hr plus $1,200 onboarding) works inside your QBO. Ottit works in your QBO or Xero from day one, so you keep the file if you ever leave.

Why is Ottit more expensive than Bench?

Ottit's entry plan is $595 a month versus Bench's $399 because it includes payout-level reconciliation, channel-level reporting and a dedicated accountant on Slack. If you do not sell on Shopify or Amazon, you probably do not need that.

Does Ottit file taxes?

No. Bench bundles business tax filing in its $649 plan. Ottit delivers a year-end package to your CPA, works hand in hand with them through filing, and then ties the books to the filed return so the two never drift.
